Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Lunia (“Lunia”, “we”, “us”, “our”) governing your use of the Lunia mobile application and all content, features and services offered through it (together, the “App”).

By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. About the App

Lunia provides astrology-themed content and tools, including daily horoscopes, birth charts, compatibility and synastry readings, tarot, rune and oracle card draws, numerology, dream interpretation, biorhythms, astrological reports, guided meditations, ambient sounds and educational courses.

Some readings are generated with the help of artificial intelligence based on text you provide. Others are composed from Lunia’s own content library using your birth details and in-app choices.

3. For reflection and entertainment only

All content in the App, including horoscopes, charts, readings, reports, compatibility scores, dream interpretations and course materials, is provided for reflection, inspiration, self-exploration and entertainment purposes only.

Astrology, tarot, numerology and similar practices are not scientifically validated methods of predicting events or describing personality. Nothing in the App constitutes, or is a substitute for, professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice.

Never disregard professional advice, delay seeking it, or make significant life decisions (including decisions about health, relationships, employment, money or legal matters) on the basis of content in the App. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that age is higher, to use the App. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement.

5. Your profile and your data

The App does not require an account. Your profile, readings and progress are stored locally on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for making backups. The App includes a backup and restore feature in Settings; exported backup files are under your control. If you delete the App or your profile without a backup, your data cannot be recovered by us.

6. Lunia Plus subscriptions

Certain features require a paid auto-renewing subscription (“Lunia Plus”), offered in the plans shown on the purchase screen (for example weekly or annual). Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country and currency.

Payment is charged to your Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for successive periods of the same length at the then-current price of your chosen plan, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions on your device). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.

If a subscription price changes for your plan, the change will apply no earlier than your next renewal, and where required by law or App Store rules you will be notified and asked to consent in advance.

7. Introductory and promotional offers

From time to time we may offer discounted introductory pricing or other promotional offers. Unless stated otherwise on the offer screen, an introductory price applies only to the introductory billing period, after which the subscription renews at the standard price disclosed to you for the plan, unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation terms shown at purchase.

Introductory and promotional offers are subject to Apple’s eligibility rules and the specific terms displayed with the offer. Offers shown as limited-time offers may not be available again.

8. One-time purchases

The App also offers content for a single, non-recurring payment, including individual astrological reports (such as the Birth Chart, Numerology, Love Compatibility, Chinese Zodiac, Big 3, Career Compass and Soulmate Sketch reports), premium courses (such as Tarot From Zero) and lifetime access to Lunia Plus.

One-time purchases are charged to your App Store account at confirmation and are delivered digitally, immediately, inside the App on the device where the purchase is made. Use the Restore purchases option to regain access on a new device.

“Lifetime” access means the lifetime of the App: for as long as the App is commercially offered and technically supported, not the lifetime of the purchaser.

9. Refunds and cancellations

All payments are collected and processed by Apple, not by us, and refunds are governed by Apple’s App Store terms. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple’s applicable refund or support process. We are not able to issue App Store refunds directly.

Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer, you acknowledge that by requesting immediate delivery of digital content you may lose that right to the extent permitted by law.

10. Content you submit

Features such as Dreamer and Deeper Insights let you type text that is processed to generate a reading. You keep all rights in what you write. You grant us the limited permission to transmit and process that text, including through our third-party AI provider, solely to generate your reading, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, infringes anyone’s rights, contains another person’s personal data without their permission, or is intended to disrupt or abuse the service.

11. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose, and not to: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the App or its content; (b) reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code except where the law expressly permits it; (c) circumvent or attempt to circumvent any payment requirement or technical limitation; (d) use the App in a way that burdens or disrupts our servers or third-party services; or (e) use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the App.

12. Intellectual property

The App and all of its content, including artwork, illustrations, texts, readings, reports, course materials, audio recordings, design and software, are owned by Lunia or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App and its content for your own private use on Apple devices you own or control. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

13. Third-party services

The App relies on services provided by third parties: Apple processes payments and app distribution; RevenueCat administers purchase entitlements; an AI provider (currently Google Gemini) generates certain readings from text you submit; and the Open-Meteo geocoding service resolves city names to coordinates. Your use of these services through the App is subject to those providers’ own terms and policies to the extent they apply.

We are not responsible for third-party services and do not control their availability.

14. Availability and changes to the App

We are continuously improving the App and may add, change or remove features, content or third-party integrations at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the App or parts of it. Where a change would materially reduce the paid features of an active subscription period, you may be entitled to remedies under applicable consumer law.

The App requires an internet connection for some features (for example AI readings, image and audio content and purchases); those features may be unavailable offline or during service interruptions.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any reading, report or interpretation will be accurate, complete or reliable. Nothing in this section limits warranties or guarantees that cannot be excluded under the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lunia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the App, including any decision made or action taken in reliance on content in the App.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us through the App in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €50 if you have paid nothing.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

17. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or to specific features if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law requires it. The current version, with its “last updated” date, is always available in the App and/or on our website. Material changes will be indicated by updating that date, and where required by law we will provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

19. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovakia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply to you. If you are a consumer, you additionally benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer-protection law of the country where you habitually reside, and nothing in these Terms deprives you of those protections or of the right to bring proceedings in your local courts where the law grants it.

20. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the applicable App Store terms, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
